It’s not everyday where Kobe Bryant reveals
one of his secrets to scoring.
During the recent first official #MambaDay a ton of posts have shown respect to the NBA great.
Love him or hate him (and this writer has done both) I can’t deny that he is a legend. Not only is Kobe one of the greatest players of all-time but he’s one of the greatest scorers of all-time.
He was a real killer on the court. Probably the closest thing we’ll ever see
to Michael Jordan. Actually, in many ways I think he’s an even better Athlete than Jordan. I know that’s BBall blaspheme but I don’t care.
The real question here is… how did he do it?
Well this might explain a little about it…
That quote explains a lot.
It explains his BIGGEST secret.
You see – most players …. Check that, most PEOPLE put limits on themselves.
Kobe said that he never had a limit. As you can see he had a tremendous amount of confidence. Let’s be honest, not many players/people possess
the same type of mentality that Kobe has. In fact, most are scared to take too
many chances because they fear failure. They fear what their coaches and teammates, family, co-workers, classmates etc. will say if they make a mistake and/or fail.
It’s the main reason why most people are inconsistent when it comes to life. They don’t have the confidence in themselves to be elite. They put a limit on their abilities and they don’t allow themselves to experience success.
So how do you change that? How do you build that “Mamba Mentality” type
Well to start things off you have to be willing to work. Kobe is known for his work ethic. Once you are ready to work then it’s all about doing the RIGHT type of work… the RIGHT type of training. Because the last thing you want to be doing is wasting your time doing training that doesn’t work.
That’s why it helps to have a proven system to follow. One that won’t waste your time. Strangely enough, acquiring a system is easier then you may think. If you don’t know Kibe’s personal contact info your still in luck. Look at someone you actually do know who is successful. Then take it one step further. Check out the friend of a friend! We all know someone who from a distance appears to be successful.
The head of your church, a local business owner, or even the higher ups at your place of business. Chances are they all took similar rodes to success through the hard work Kobe mentions. I’d like to say these same individuals would love to share their stories with others. If there’s one thing they all seem to have in common, it’s the fact that they all have a story to tell and successful people love to tell those stories.
No need to reinvent the wheel…. Just duplicate the one you like the most. It doesn’t put a limit on you. This type of training can certainly build confidence.
Your potential is unlimited.
You just have to believe.
